Detailed Safari

Day 1: Coast To Voyager Ziwani
Early morning pickup at your beach hotel, driving along a palm-lined road that gradually reveals the Tsavo scrubland near Ziwani. Heading north on the main highway toward Nairobi, following the historic British-built railway route, the vast plains of Tsavo and the Taita Hills come into view. With stunning vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro and easy access to Tsavo West’s wild attractions, Voyager Ziwani offers a peaceful retreat in one of Africa’s most untouched areas. Situated on a private sanctuary along the Santé River, the camp features wildlife like turtles, crocodiles, and hippos. Enjoy guided nature walks, night game drives, and relaxing views of the diverse landscape and wildlife.

Day 2: Voyager Ziwani To Amboseli National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast before departing for Amboseli National Park, passing local farms, communities, Maasai herders with their flocks, and, weather permitting, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. At Amboseli Serena Lodge, check-in and refresh before an afternoon game drive, where you’ll see free-ranging elephants and other wildlife, with spectacular views of Kilimanjaro (5894m). The name “Amboseli” means “salty dust,” due to the dry season when the lake dries up and the dust tastes salty. The park, covering about 390 sq km, features Lake Amboseli, Observation Hill, and abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hippos, and numerous bird species. The lodge offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro and the park’s wildlife.
Balloon safari is optional on request

Day 3: Amboseli National Park To Tsavo East National Park
Saying farewell to Amboseli, we enjoy an early breakfast before heading to Tsavo East National Park. Known for its red dust elephants, the park’s soil is rusty from oxidation, and herds often roll in it for a muddy bath, creating vibrant coats. During our game drives, we may spot other “Big Five” animals like buffalo, lions, and leopards. We’ll also search for Tsavo’s famous mane-less lions, whose man-eating reputation from a century ago still fascinates visitors. Our stay at Ashnil Aruba Lodge offers comfortable accommodations near Aruba Dam, a historic waterhole attracting countless wildlife.

Day 4: Tsavo East National Park To Beach Hotel
After breakfast, embark on a relaxed game drive as you leave Tsavo East National Park. Continue your journey southward toward the stunning coastal beaches, enjoying the scenic views along the way. This leisurely drive offers a perfect opportunity to appreciate the diverse landscapes and wildlife of the region before arriving at your beach destination. Take in the fresh air and tranquility as you make your way to the sandy shores, where relaxation and the ocean’s beauty await. The transition from the wilderness of Tsavo East to the serenity of the coast promises a memorable start to your coastal adventure.
