Detailed Safari

Day 1: Coast To Voyager Ziwani
Early morning pickup from your beach hotel, driving along a palm-fringed road that eventually reveals the Tsavo scrubland as you approach Ziwani. Continue north on the main highway toward Nairobi, following the route of the late 19th-century British-built railway. The road passes through warehouses and workshops on Mombasa’s outskirts, climbing steadily until the vast plains of Tsavo come into view, with the Taita Hills on the horizon. Voyager Ziwani, renowned for being part of the Big Game country in Tsavo West National Park, welcomes you for lunch. Afterward, enjoy an afternoon game drive, followed by a hearty dinner and optional night game drive to see nocturnal animals in action.

Day 2: Voyager Ziwani To Tsavo East National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive as we depart Ziwani for Tsavo East National Park. Watch Tsavo’s iconic red dust elephants graze; they roll in the rusty soil to clean themselves, creating vibrant coats. The park also offers opportunities to see other “Big Five” animals like Cape buffalo, lion, and leopard. During our drives through Tsavo’s rugged plains, we’ll track the legendary mane-less Tsavo lions, whose man-eating history from a century ago still fascinates and excites visitors. Ashnil Aruba Lodge, nestled on Aruba Dam’s banks, features 46 rooms and 6 tents, providing a perfect base to observe wildlife gathering at this historic waterhole.

Day 3: Tsavo East National Park To Beach Hotel
Please check out after breakfast and leave the park as you begin your trip to the beach.
