Detailed Safari

Day 1: Coast to Tsavo East National Park
Early morning, you’ll be picked up from your beach hotel and driven along a palm-lined road that gradually reveals the Tsavo scrubland as you approach Tsavo East. Enter Tsavo East National Park through Buchuma Gate, where your driver will open the pop-up roof of your jeep to begin the safari. Tsavo, Kenya’s largest national park, covers 12,000 square kilometers and is divided into East and West by the highway. You’ll arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, check-in, and later embark on an afternoon game drive, returning at sunset. Overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, situated on Aruba Dam, a historic waterhole teeming with wildlife.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, check out and depart for Tsavo West National Park. The drive passes through a palm-lined road, gradually revealing the Tsavo scrubland as you approach the park. Further north, you’ll see the Taita Hills and the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow. After completing entry formalities at Tsavo River Gate, begin your first game drive along the river, searching for wildlife and scenic landscapes. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch and check-in. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot leopards, cheetahs, elephants, warthogs, dik-diks, and various bird species. At around 6:30 pm, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, surrounded by stunning views and modern comforts, with opportunities to see elephants and buffalo at the water hole.

Day 3: Tsavo West National Park To Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, check out and depart for Tsavo West National Park. The scenic drive passes palm-lined roads and reveals the Tsavo scrubland and the Taita Hills, along with the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow. After entering through Tsavo River Gate, enjoy your first game drive along the river, searching for wildlife and landscapes, then check in at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for lunch. Later, explore the park for leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and various bird species. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast and check-out from Oltukai Lodge, enjoy a short morning game drive as you leave Amboseli National Park heading to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival in time for lunch, check into your lodge and relax before starting your activities for the day. Lake Naivasha, a shallow freshwater lake in the Rift Valley, is surrounded by acacia woodlands and volcanic formations. Activities include boat safaris, bird watching, and visits to Crescent Island and Hell’s Gate. You may see hippos, diverse bird species, and wildlife along the shores. The lodge offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views, perfect for unwinding and experiencing Africa’s natural beauty.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha To Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast and checkout from Oltukai Lodge, enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit Amboseli National Park en route to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival in time for lunch, check into your lodge and relax before engaging in your scheduled activities. Lake Naivasha, a shallow freshwater lake in the Rift Valley, is surrounded by acacia woodlands and volcanic formations. Activities include boat safaris, bird watching, and visits to Crescent Island and Hell’s Gate. You may see hippos, diverse bird species, and other wildlife along the shores. The island offers opportunities to walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, making it a wildlife enthusiast’s paradise.

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara Game Reserve
This day promises an exhilarating game viewing adventure! The Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the most exciting wildlife ecosystems in the world. It boasts the highest and most diverse concentration of wild animals in the region. The scenic, tree-lined savannahs, mild climate, and variety of species make it ideal for game viewing. Enjoy a full day of exploring, spotting the Big Five and other wildlife. Picnic by the Mara River to watch hippos and crocodiles or witness the Great Migration between July and October. Hot-air balloon safaris offer breathtaking views of the landscape and wildlife, creating unforgettable memories as the sun sets and the day ends.

Day 7: Masai Mara Reserve To Ukunda Airport To Diani Hotel
After breakfast, proceed on a game viewing drive as you head to the airstrip. Enjoy a scenic one-hour flight to Ukunda Airport for transfer to your hotel of choice or to Mombasa Airport for your return flight home.
