Detailed Safari
Day 1: Coast To Taita Hills Wildlife Santuary
Early morning departure from Beach Hotel, driving along a palm-lined road that gradually reveals the Tsavo scrubland as you near Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Heading north on the main highway toward Nairobi, following the historic railway route built by the British in the late 19th century, the journey passes through warehouses and workshops on Mombasa’s outskirts. The vast plains of Tsavo come into view, with the Taita Hills on the horizon. Lunch is at Taita Hills Lodge, then a short transfer to Saltlick Game Lodge for check-in. After freshening up, enjoy an afternoon game drive and return late. Spend the evening relaxing, viewing wildlife from the lodge’s underground hide or balcony.

Day 2: Taita Hills Wildlife Santuary To Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast depart for Tsavo west National park. Drive through the palm-fringed road eventually revealing the Taita hills as well as the famous Yatta plateau -the World’s longest lava flow.
After entry formalities at the Tsavo River Gate, begin your first game drive in Tsavo west driving along Tsavo River looking for wildlife and the beautiful landscapes arriving at the in time for lunch. After lunch you will check in and freshen up then later in the afternoon proceed for a game drive and enjoy viewing the leopards, cheetahs, elephants, warthogs, dik-diks and different bird species.
At approximately 1830hrs drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in Tsavo West National Park immerses you in stunning beauty and exhilarating adventures while surrounding you with every modern comfort. Arriving guests are enchanted by our classic stone design and views of elephants, buffalo and other plains game drinking and cooling off in our water hole.
Day 3 & Day 4: Tsavo West National Park To Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, depart Tsavo West and arrive in Tsavo East for a relaxing game drive to Ashnil Aruba Lodge, your home for two nights. Here, you can witness Tsavo’s famous red dust elephants as they roll in the rusty soil. The park also offers chances to see other “Big Five” animals like buffalo, lion, and leopard. During game drives, you’ll track Tsavo’s iconic mane-less lions, known for their historic man-eating reputation. Ashnil Aruba Lodge features 46 rooms and 6 tents, located on Aruba Dam’s banks, a key wildlife spot. A day trip to Lugard Falls, a series of rapids formed by rocks on the Galana River, is also included.
Day 5: Tsavo East National Park To Beach Hotel
After breakfast, you will check out and prepare to begin your journey, aiming to arrive at your North or South Coast beach hotel in time for a late lunch.
